O Diogo iniciou-se na natação em 2006 com onze anos, onde alcançou oito títulos de campeão nacional e representou portugal. Em 2014 experimentou pela primeira vez o triatlo sagrando-se logo campeão nacional por equipas sub-23. Em 2015 passou começou a treinar no centro de alto rendimento, repetindo o título nacional por equipas sub-23, e alcançando mais resultados de destaque em 2016. Para 2017 aqui estamos ao lado do Diogo.
